New In: Drugstore beauty

A quick little post today to share a couple of products I picked up at the drugstore. I had some time to kill and figured I'd browse to see what was new in the drugstore beauty world. Unfortunately for me, the store I was at was very limited in stock so there weren't too many options in general. I did however find a few things of interest!

I picked up this gel lacquer set from L'Oreal because it was definitely intriguing and of all the gel polish systems I've seen come out this seemed to be the most affordable. The steps are simple enough - just use the primer, then the polish you choose and lastly, the glaze. It doesn't seem far off from the Formula X system that Sephora has (and which I plan to do a review of soon!). I chose the color vintage vinyl, which is a nice creamy somewhat gray toned purple. So pretty! I'll definitely do a review of this system once I try it out, so stay tuned!

I also picked up this revitalizing lip balm from Neutrogena in the color Healthy Blush (#20). I'm a sucker for lip balms and products that provide a sheer amount of color. Chapped lips have always been something I struggle with so I'm all about balms that help combat that. Additionally, thanks to my notoriously dry lips, I tend to veer towards sheer lip products as thicker lipsticks seem to just accentuate my chapped lips. Besides that, I just prefer sheer products over thick glosses or lipsticks. I can't honestly remember the last time I tried a Neutrogena product but I figured I'd give this one a go!

Like I said, just a couple of products but I'm excited to try them all the same!

Are there any new products out there in the beauty world that you're interested about or think I should try?? Have you tried either of these products? Let me know in the comments!
