February 2016 Monthly Favorites

There is no rhyme or reason to this list, it is merely a collection of things/people/etc. that I have enjoyed throughout the past month!

~ I recently cut back on my caffeine consumption drastically. I now have one cup of coffee in the morning and that's pretty much it. However, as a special exception, or when I go out running errands, I will pick up a mocha from Tim Horton's. They have definitely become one of my favorite things. A mocha (from Tim's anyway), is part coffee, part hot cocoa. They hit all the cravings for me and when the temperatures are in the negatives, they certainly warm you up! Tim Horton's mochas are definitely a favorite this month. However, losing EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. in the "Roll up the Rim" contest is not a favorite. Honestly, it's pissing me off!! EVERY. TIME!!!!

~The new album, Not To Disappear , from Daughter is great. It's the perfect music to have on while working because it doesn't distract me too much. If you've never listened to their music before, I encourage you to check them out!!

~This Essie polish in 'Go Ginza' is absolutely a favorite this month. In my eyes, it's a beautiful lilac color, but people have been describing it as a light pink?! Is it me???  Regardless, it is a gorgeous color and it furthers my desire for spring weather!

~Speaking of spring, I cannot wait for my skin to get a break from this dry winter air! Until then, I have found that this lotion from Aveeno is a life saver. Not only is it moisturizing but it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin and I really like the smell. I actually bought it to soothe an allergic reaction I was having from a shampoo I tried out and it really helped with the itching! Win, Win, Win!

~This month I really enjoyed watching Chelsea Handler's new show on Netflix, Chelsea Does. Chelsea is hilarious as per usual, but the series handles serious topics in a refreshing way that I really appreciated. My favorite of the four episodes were Chelsea Does: Racism and Chelsea does: Drugs.

~Lastly, but certainly not last in terms of importance, was the announcement that there will be a new book to read in the Harry Potter franchise!!! While technically, it isn't book eight, it is no less exciting. The script for the West End production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will come out on July 31st of this year. So like many years ago, I can carry out the summer tradition of anticipation of a Harry Potter release! I already pre-ordered my copy, and I did so through Amazon, which I recommend because they guarantee that if the price goes down at all between the time you order and the release, they will honor the lowest price! I got my copy for $17.99 and when I first looked it up on Amazon, it was $29.99. Though, I'd probably pay far more than even that to read some new Harry Potter...no matter the form!
