Ten Natual Product Favorites

In honor of April being earth month, today I thought I would share with you ten of my favorite natural products. These are in no particular order, and are all products that I can personally vouch for.

 10  N A T U R A L  P R O D U C T  F A V O R I T E S

1. Tom's of Maine Toothpaste - I am very picky about toothpaste, so to find one that I like, that works for my teeth, and is natural is like a home run! Not only is this toothpaste fluoride-free (something I was looking for), its also gentle enough for my sensitive teeth and the taste is light enough that it doesn't make me gag (yes that is an issue for me ....what can I say, I'm complicated!). PS - the price on Amazon is way cheaper than what I pay at my local grocery store!

2. Wegmans organic cotton rounds - Okay, now this might seem like an odd thing to include but I wanted to share with those of you lucky enough to have a Wegmans near you. These cotton rounds are organic, super freakin' soft (seriously - they feel luxury!), and they're durable which is important. I use them for both face products (toners), and for removing nail polish and I love that they are strong enough for the latter, with no ripping or shedding! Oh, and they're cheaper than non-organic options?? Win, Win!

3. Neti Stik - I have never used a Neti-pot because to be completely honest, they really freak me out, This little inhaler though is something I have no problem using. I was skeptical at first, but I find that it truly does help! I love that its small enough to lug around wherever, and that its natural. I strive for natural options whenever possible and this is a great little thing to have around. When I was sick for a few weeks at the beginning of the year, this thing was a savoir!

4. Hurraw Lip Balm - I've talked about this lip balm in the past, and I would still recommend it. It's vegan and cruelty free, which are great qualities to have! They also come in a multitude of scents so there is bound to be one for everyone!

5. Badger balm - I'm a huge fan of this brand in general. I've loved nearly everything that I've tried from them, with their aromatherapy balms being a particular favorite! Cheerful mind, stress soother and yoga & meditation are three that I enjoy. A quick peruse of their website made me realize that despite trying tons of their products, there are still plenty to explore! I'll have to get around to doing that. ;)

6. Headache oil - This might seem crazy, but I have found that this headache oil from Aquarian Soul does help with (some) of my headaches. I say some because I get pretty much every type of headache there is, with migraines being a particular nuisance. I find that it is helpful with more mild headaches and sinus headaches (I think the peppermint oil helps in this case), but when it comes to headaches, I feel like everyone has different experiences so this might work better or worse for you. I'd suggest giving it a go though! I try to utilize any natural options before taking a pill whenever possible, and this has helped in many cases.

7. Salt Lamp - this might seem like it doesn't belong on this list, but in my eyes it absolutely does. A Himalayan salt lamp not only gives your space a nice ambiance, but they also remove toxins and purify your air! I think they're a win/win! They're aesthetically pleasing as well as providing health benefits!

8. Alaffia coconut face wash - this face wash is a million kinds of awesome. It's cruelty-free, non-GMO, gluten free, so on and so fourth. It's also super affordable. I love how well it cleans my skin without making it feel stripped, like many face washes do. The smell is fantastic and I appreciate the packaging because it allows you to see how much you have left (no surprises here!), and to get every last drop out! I have yet to find a product from Alaffia that I don't love, and this is a perfect example!

9. Kiss My Face Active Life Natural Deodorant - natural deodorants can be a tricky product. It's often difficult to find something that works well, especially when you're used to the more standard deodorants out there. This one from Kiss my face does a pretty good job. I can't say that it is my holy grail or anything, and to be honest, I'm not sure that there is one out there, but most days, this does what I need it to do. I also really like the cucumber green tea smell. It reminds me of the cucumber melon scent from Bath & Body Works that I was obsessed with when I was younger. ;)

10. Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo - this might seem like an odd thing to include but I really enjoy using this shampoo. I have sensitive skin and my scalp is no exception. I also suffer from flaking occasionally and this shampoo largely keeps that at bay. I love how it feels on my hair and that it does its job without any junky ingredients. Unfortunately this is harder to acquire if you don't have a Trader Joes (mine is about an hour away), but if you can get your hands on this, I suggest trying it! Psst...it's much cheaper in store!

I hope this list helps if you are looking to venture into the world of natural beauty a bit more. I'd love to hear your natural favorites in the comments!
