Double Pizza Bagels - RECIPE



I love pizza. It doesn't always love me, but there are some foods that are worth pushing the limits over IMO, and pizza is definitely one of them - at least for me. When I heard that Thomas' Bagels had come out with limited edition pizza bagels, I may or may not have gone to four different stores in search of them. Not only did I know that I needed to try them, but I knew I had to make pizza bagels, on pizza bagels. I don't think that needs too much explanation.

Obviously, you can make pizza bagels, on any kind of bagel that you please. Plain bagels certainly will suffice. But I felt I needed to take on this mission of redundancy and make pizza, pizza bagels.




These are the perfect weekday dinner. They don't take a lot of ingredients...or prep....or brain power. Whether you've been deep in grad school reading all day, working in the office for hours on end, or corralling your offspring, sometimes a mindless meal is much welcomed. Or maybe you did absolutely nothing - that's okay too. When isn't a good time for pizza?










Double Pizza Bagels 
makes six bagel pizzas. 

You will need: 

-Grated Mozzarella cheese (about 2 cups - depending on how cheesy you make them).
-Marinara (I used Francesco Rinaldi - I love this brand!!), about 1.5 cups
-Thomas' Pizza Bagels 
-Pepperoni

To make: 

-Preheat oven to 375°
-Place 3 bagels on a cookie sheet, open face
-Cover each bagel with sauce
-Layer cheese and then pepperonis on top of your bagels
-Bake for 25 minutes at 375° (give or take depending on preference/oven).




These are super easy to make - and super customizable. Don't eat meat? Go veg! I can't honestly remember the last time I had a pizza bagel, so it was definitely a throwback meal for me. As for the pizza bagels themselves, they're pretty damn good! Worth the hunt!

PS - The Thomas' Pizza bagels are limited edition, so get them while you can!!
