October 2017 Monthly Favorites

October is over which means that before we know it, Christmas will be everywhere (okay, it already sort of is..). I don't really mind it too much because as much as I love Halloween and Fall in general, I also really, really, love Christmas. This time of year is special and comforting, even if it's a bit stressful. I didn't post a favorites for September because I didn't really feel like I had enough to talk about. This month I don't have too much either, but there are a few things that I really wanted to share with you.

La Roche Posay Toleriane Face Wash Cleanser for Sensitive Skin - I've been slowly working on revamping my skincare routine. I've just been generally unhappy with the state of my skin (dull, dry, red, slightly irritated, hormonal breakouts, pores...the whole bit), and I'm on a mission to try and get a proper routine down that works for me. I figured it was best to start with a cleanser and I am absolutely loving this one from La Roche Posay. It's creamy and moisturizing while still being a cleanser that actually does a good job and works. It doesn't have a strong smell (I personally don't notice a smell at all), and it doesn't dry out my skin. I think it's also a really good value for the money! I've been using this nearly every day - sometimes as part of a double cleanse and it hasn't pissed off my skin so it's definitely a winner!

Christmas Eve Bubble Bar from Lush - I recently posted a Lush Christmas haul and I have since tried out a few products including this Christmas Eve bubble bar. I've used it now twice (and still have some left because I'm super frugal with my bubble bars - gotta be frugal!), and it's just lovely. The smell is incredible without being overpowering, it makes a ton of bubbles, and it makes the water a gorgeous deep blue color I just love. Today I used it with my butterbear bath bomb and my skin feels so happy!

Sleepy lotion - another Lush goodie that I picked up recently that I've been loving is there sleepy lotion. I'm quite picky about lotions - if they're too greasy or sticky they drive me nuts, but I also have dry skin so it's hard sometimes to find a compromise. I've been using this lotion nearly every single night right before going to bed and oh my goodness - it seriously is amazing!! As someone who struggles with insomnia, and in general is a night owl - this lotion is magic. It calms me and I find that I often pass out quite quickly lately. I don't know if its the lotion or coincidence but anything that helps me to fall asleep is a huge winner in my book. The smell of this stuff is so nice and comforting - not too strong and not too herbal (I have a love/hate for products that smell a bit too herbal) and it's quickly become a part of my routine that I now do without thinking - always a good sign.

Hydroflask bottle - Although I have way too many water bottles, I honestly needed another one because unfortunately, thanks to the joint pain that I frequently struggle with, I was having a hard time opening my life factory bottle (which I loved otherwise). I found this at Whole Foods when I went there for the first time and found it to be way easier to open, so I picked it up. It's not cheap - I honestly think it's way too expensive personally, and I sometimes find that thanks to my sensitive teeth, it leaves drinks too cold for me. But other than that, I love the color, the fact that it doesn't sweat, and the ease of use. I always have water on me - especially when I go out since I try to limit my coffee intake. So this bottle is great for me!

Will & Grace - oh my - what to even say about Will & Grace. I'm seriously been LOVING watching this show so far. It's on right after Grey's Anatomy, which can be quite a serious drama and honestly has been known to amp up my anxiety, so it's the perfect transition for me. I love how honest and FUNNY the show has been. I mean, it's HILARIOUS!!! It's also comforting - it gives off all the good sitcom vibes that I love and adore. Another show of mine - MOM on CBS starts up this week so I'm going to have to start watching Will & Grace after, which bums me a little but I suppose that's the consequence of being a TV junkie and a sitcom addict. #WHYOHWHYDIDCBSMOVEBIGBANGONME!?!

Alright, I'm keeping it kind of simple this month - but I'd love to know what you've been loving in the comments - so feel free to share!! 💜
